Koutarou Tsutsumi

Male Protagonist. Seems to not be that smart. Having failed to pass on to his 3rd and final year of high school in Tokyo he was forced to repeat a grade, or transfer to a different school. He parents shamed, sent Tsutsumi to his aunts home in a small town having him transfer school. Upon his arrival he is depressed having failed and starts calling himself a loser who is unable to shine. This is heard by Nagisa Ichinose who has come to find him after he had been late from coming back from a convenient store. She gives Tsutsumi hope to shine by saying: "A star that may not shine in Tokyo, surly will shine in a different Town". From then on he is gradually motivated to work hard with each encounter he has with Ichinose.
