Joseon Workshop summary: . Hyowon, a yangban who has an immense fascination with colors, indulges in nightly play. His dear friend Nam Soo-in discreetly directs him towards the notorious Eumgu Workshop, a clandestine establishment renowned amongst aristocrats. The owner, Shin-woo, visits Hyowon and is straightforward in character, in stark contrast to the vivid musical tones and notes he produces. Hyowon's urge to explore prompts him to propose a self-trial of the musical toys to feel their effect. The thrill he had anticipated from other partners turns out to be lackluster compared to the satisfaction he derives from Shin-woo. Persistently, Hyowon convinces Shin-woo to test their compatibility with music's tone and pitch. Hyowon eagerly anticipates that the music test will eventually lead to fulfilling his desires with Shin-woo. Note: The word plays use the terms music, toys, and pleasure but not in their literal sense, rather in metaphors.
