The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past summary: At the beginning of A Link to the Past, a young boy named Link is awakened by Princess Zelda's telepathic message revealing that she is being held captive in the dungeon of Hyrule Castle. Against his uncle's advice to stay in bed, Link disobeys and follows his uncle to the castle. There, he discovers his uncle grievously injured. Before passing away, his uncle gives him a sword and shield and urges him to rescue Princess Zelda. Link navigates the castle to find Zelda's cell and frees her.
